Ethan's Photo Shoot (Sneak Peek)

Ethan had his first Photo Shoot the other day.  These pics are the sneak peek that the photographer sent to tide us over until the edited master prints are delivered.

We had a great day and send out a big thank you to Aunt Melinda for her help and to Abby for being such a sweet and patient photographer!

Ready to go home!

The Nursery is ready!

Well, so far I have been able to control my blood sugar with my diet.  It has only been a week, so we will see how it goes.  So far, so good... Wish us luck!!!

April 13th appointment

We had an appointment on Friday, April 13.  I was told that I have gestational diabetes.  We have a class on Wednesday, April 18 to learn more about the condition and how to manage it.  Then we have another doctor's appointment on Friday, April 20.  I am told that this is a somewhat common condition among pregnant women and very manageable and that Ethan and I should be just fine.  If I am unable to control my blood sugar with diet, I may have to take insulin shots.  I know that everything is going to be fine and I will be vigilant in my efforts to make sure that it is.  I will update when I know more.

This is our son at 20 weeks!!!!  The doctor said he is growing at a normal rate and everything looks great!  He is a healthy baby boy!
