April 13th appointment

We had an appointment on Friday, April 13.  I was told that I have gestational diabetes.  We have a class on Wednesday, April 18 to learn more about the condition and how to manage it.  Then we have another doctor's appointment on Friday, April 20.  I am told that this is a somewhat common condition among pregnant women and very manageable and that Ethan and I should be just fine.  If I am unable to control my blood sugar with diet, I may have to take insulin shots.  I know that everything is going to be fine and I will be vigilant in my efforts to make sure that it is.  I will update when I know more.
