A Great Weekend

We've had a lot of weekends together with little Ethan since his arrival, and I have to say, this one was on top of the list.  We started off with an exceptional lunch at the U-Joint with Memama, Uncle Michael, Aunt Rachel, and cousin Rylynn.  After lunch, we drove to Buckhead to stay in a hotel for the evening.  Ethan got to go swimming in the indoor pool as soon we arrived at the hotel.  This was Ethan's first swimming adventure this year and at first he was reluctant, but by the end of an hour he was floating and kicking his way to his mother.

Sunday morning we got up early to take Ethan to the Atlanta Aquarium.  We had received free tickets to a special Autism Awareness day at the Aquarium.  They opened up two hours before opening to the public.  The Aquarium did so much to make the experience enjoyable for those on the spectrum.  We've been to the Aquarium before and being around thousands of people with a two year old with tons of energy can be extremely stressful, but thanks to the lower number of attendees on this special day we were able to enjoy two hours of stress free fun.  We were also so thrilled that Ethan sat and watched the entire dolphin show, and as you can see in this video, he loved every minute of it.

Super Awesome Dolphin Show

Ethan wanted Mommy to take a look too.

We had bought tickets for the Zoo, but thanks to the weather we had to find an alternative plan.  So we took a trip to the closest Monkey Joe's.  A room full of bounce houses and slides is a two year old's heaven.
This was one of his favorite slides

After Monkey Joe's it was Pizza at the Mellow Mushroom

Actually one of us ended up passing out at lunch...

So we got to have pizza in the car.

This day was beyond special to us and we want to thank everyone who donated to the Walk for Autism Speaks in Ethan's name.  It was thanks to the love and support of our friends and family that we were invited to spend a morning in the Georgia Aquarium.  Seeing Ethan's face while watching the Dolphin show is a moment we will never forget and it was all thanks to you.
